The Tempest Arms is a restaurant and pub that has been serving the village residents for nearly 180 years. Tracy and her team for the past 10 years.
The Tempest Arms was built in 1845 as a beerhouse called the Brewer's Arms by Samuel Auckland, the owner and licensee from that time until he died in 1858. His widow, Jane, then ran the business until her death in 1878 after which the beerhouse was sold to the Tempest family, owners of Coleby Hall and the Coleby Estate. They let the premises to the Burton Brewery Co. Ltd., Lincoln. The pub has since had other owners, a new name and many landlords.
This pub has by far the finest location and views across the entire Cliff. A delightful place to be on a summers afternoon and evening.
To compliment the summer afternoons and evenings our extremely popular outdoor kitchen (FROGGY'S) is offering a BBQ menu on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Our chefs have created a varied menu that offers outdoor food at its best.
